IBR situation in Czech Republic

Official IBR eradication plan: Since the beginning of 2006 there is an obligatory IBR eradication program.
IBR-free certification: To achieve IBR free status blood or milk samples from all the animals older than 6 months in the herd have to be tested for the presence of gB antibodies. The first negative result has to be confirmed by a second test that is carried out in samples collected 4-6 weeks after the first negative result. To maintain IBR free status blood or milk samples from all the animals older than 6 months must be tested for the presence of gB antibodies.
Herds that are gB (+) and gE (-) are considered eradicated and farms that are both gB (-) and gE (-) are considered IBR free.
IBR herd/individual prevalence: Not available
Vaccination: Only marker vaccines (live and inactivated) are available and used in the field.
